Do you want an acetylene torch, but don't know how to put it together? How about safety concerns? Do you need troubleshooting tips?

When I put my first torch together, I was afraid something would go "BOOM" every step of the way. Now I know better, but it was still a hair-raising ordeal at the time.

I find many students later struggle to improve their skills because fear of assembling the darn torch stands in their way. Well, not any more! I have produced a tutorial that details the steps require to assemble, light and shutdown a Smith acetylene/air torch.

At left are samples of some of the photos in the tutorial. Extensive text addresses what you see in the photos. Many photos show before/after settings, sequencing of events, or tips. This is a must-have publication for anyone considering buying a torch for silversmithing.

The tutorial consists of two files: a 9-page PDF with text and thumbnail photos (similar in size to those on the left) and a ZIP file of 56 photos, 11"x 8" 150dpi enlargements for large viewing or printout.

This document is now available for purchase. Once payment has been received, an email will be sent to you with a link to download the files. If you do not have a broadband internet connection, I can burn all the data to CD, for a slightly higher shipping and media fee. I will mail to you a copy of the purchase receipt, to your billing address.

Price
The downloadable files are $15, prepaid, and $22 if you opt for the CD. Buyers located in Florida will pay a 6% sales tax.

All payments must be by credit card. Please call me to set up payment. I'll need your name (as it appears on the CC), the billing address, phone number, CC account number, expiration date, and security code on the back. Do not send this information by email!
